Our Vision and Business Principles

To strive for continued excellence in Service delivery whilst extending the range of innovative services offered to young people and their families. To achieve this we will embrace the possibilities offered through Social Enterprise and diversification, steering the Service into a strengthened focus on protection and support for vulnerable young people.

We would like the way we conduct our business to reflect the values held by the Service in its service offer. Therefore as a business, Early Break will :

Be trustworthy: Commissioners, partner agencies, employees and service users want to do business with an organisation they can trust. We will demonstrate this through reliability, honesty, transparency and truthfulness

Be fair: We will treat our service users, employees, partner agencies and commissioners with respect, equality and fairness – as we would wish to be treated ourselves

Demonstrate integrity: We will strive to keep our promises. We are committed to our values, ideals and aspirations and whilst we may not always live up to our ideals, we are clear about our intent

Be respectful: We will treat others with respect and courtesy, regardless of differences, positions, titles, ages, or other types of distinctions

Keep an open mind: We will stay open to new ideas and continue to ask our service users, workers, partner agencies and commissioners for their feedback and involvement in the development of our organisation, as well as in the evaluation of whether our ideas work

Meet our obligations:  We will fulfil our Service Level Agreements and contractual obligations to the best of our ability and to the highest standards in service delivery

Ensure that our written documents and publicity are clear and accessible: This includes the Company’s Business Plan with its vision for the future

Stay community involved: We want to be involved in community-related issues and activities in the areas we serve

Offer best value for public money and be financially sound:  We want to be a well-run, well-managed business, with aspirations and plans to realise these. We expect to grow and develop and want to prepare fully for this by running a charitable business with a sound financial basis with resources to ensure its future well-being

Fearless Presence:  We will be brave enough to take the lead on an approach even if that means standing alone to do so and won’t be afraid to voice opinion despite collective opposition. We will take a chance based on calculating the level of risk involved and will be a challenging supportive voice for the “unheard” – be it client or colleague
