Advocacy

For young people with more complex needs regarding substance use, i.e. those who need prescribing interventions, in-patient detox or rehabilitation / stabilisation in order to secure a healthier future.
Accommodation Link

Targeted work with young people and families experiencing homelessness issues and/or problems within the home. This service also works closely with targeted vulnerable groups such as ‘Looked after children’.
Youth Offending Team

Interventions with young people within the criminal justice system who are assessed to have substance related needs and where their substance use is impacting on their criminal behaviour.
Early Intervention Team

Targeted work with young people who may not be aware of Early Break's service. Our mobile outreach team works within communities and schools to promote awareness and to identify young people in need of support.
Substance to Mind (S2M)

Support for young people with mental health issues that are related to their substance use.
DAFAY (Drug Action For Asian Youth)

This work is very focused on being culturally sensitive to the needs of young people from the Asian community. We offer 1:1 support and assertive outreach which links into schools and local communities.
Alternative Therapies

Early Break offers a range of alternative treatments/therapies designed to help with substance related needs. Some of the therapies are well known such as massage and acupuncture but others are special to Early Break, like sports and boxing therapies which we have developed ourselves. The alternative therapies / treatments available do not replace medical care or interventions. If medical care is needed these alternative interventions can support it.
Holding Families

The Holding Families project is a multi disciplinary project that aims to help children, parents and families with problems associated with significant parental substance misuse.
The Holding Families process offers a holistic, intensive treatment service for families where substance misuse is a problem, where children and adults' needs are dealt with and responded to at the same time, within the same project. Quote from parent "The children are a lot happier; a lot happier than they was. I didn't realise how it were affecting them, how I were. "
The process is by referral only please speak to Early Break for further info.
Voice 2 Voice

Voice 2 Voice is an exciting new project commissioned by Earlybreak and Bury Children's Services which provides a "Voice" for young people regarding the Services they use through the employment of peer consultants. Throughout their employment, we aim to provide our Peer Consultants with positive life skills and professional development. Through keeping things fresh and vibrant Voice to Voice enables us to get the real experiences of the young people with whom we engage, so that we can endeavour to deliver a needs led service.
