Early Break's services have been successfully established in Bury and Rochdale for over ten years.
The Service now has the exciting and challenging opportunity to extend its area remit to cover the whole of East Lancashire, including Ribble Valley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Rossendale and Burnley.
We are looking to create a dynamic, highly skilled, responsive and flexible team of workers who can deliver the Early Break services to young people, aged 21 and under, who live in East Lancashire and who are experiencing substance related problems.
The interventions offered will include treatment, including access to substitute prescribing and needle exchange, counselling and support, holistic therapies, harm reduction and relapse prevention. Services will be offered on a 1:1 and group basis, as required and as appropriate. Early Intervention work will also be part of the service remit.
The development of all Early Break's services has consistently been led by the needs of the Service's young clients. We wish to take this client-centred philosophy and way of working into East Lancashire, building on our reputation for high quality service delivery and by working in close partnership with other young people's agencies.
The Early Break : East Lancashire service is based in Nelson, with satellite centres in ither venues across the region. Much of the work will be community-based and all workers in the Early Break team will have an outreach element to their role. This way of working demands much by way of commitment, flexability, reponsibility, time management and organisational skills, self-motivation and initiative.
