The Stacey Story – CSE Educational DVD & Resource

The Stacey Story is an engaging educational resource which features a short animation and story of a young girl named Stacey.

“Stacey is a young girl who dreams of a price charming to whisk her away to a better life. Stacey then meets Danny, her prince charming, who comes with alloy wheels, alcohol, cigarettes and a shiny new mobile phone. The DVD shows how Danny grooms Stacey into sexual exploitation.”

The resource contains a numbers of activities designed to:

  • facilitate debate around the DVD
  • explore thoughts and feelings around grooming
  • identify risk
  • enhance self esteem
  • allow young people to identify people they could talk to

“The 17 minute DVD “Wasted” was created and produced by M6 Theatre’s participation department in conjunction with service users from Early Break who were instrumental in both producing and starring in the film. The powerful play is about peer jealousies and the serious consequences of alcohol use and knife crime and is a teaching and discussion tool for use in secondary schools and other youth settings.”

Wasted – Educational DVD & Resource

Wasted is an interactive resource that can used with young people in a one to one or a group setting. “Wasted” highlights some of the key issues that young people are involved with or surrounded by. It is a fantastic tool to encourage discussion and get young people to think about the pressures of teenage life and around issues such as:

  • alcohol misuse
  • peer pressure and jealousy
  • knife crime
  • relationships
